What is a curly cut?
A curly cut (sometimes called a DevaCut or Rezo Cut) is a specialized cutting technique designed for wavy, curly, and coily hair. Unlike traditional cuts that fight your texture, a curly cut works WITH your natural curl pattern to create shape, volume, and manageability. There's many different methods and techniques out there, what I offer is truly a wicked combination of all of them. Catering my solution to your specific texture and desired result.
Do you offer balayage for curly hair?
Yes! Curly hair balayage requires a different approach than straight hair balayage — I hand-paint color in a way that enhances your curl pattern and grows out beautifully. My Transform package includes full balayage or maximum lift for vibrant reds, coppers, and high-contrast highlights.
What's the difference between a DevaCut and a Rezo Cut?
Great question! Both are curly cutting techniques, but they approach curl shape differently. DevaCut focuses on cutting each curl individually when dry. Rezo Cut layers curls in a specific pattern to maximize volume. At Wicked Hues, I don't follow one branded method — I combine techniques based on what YOUR hair needs. No cookie-cutter cuts here.
How long does a curly hair appointment take?
My ReSculpt package (curly cut only) takes 1.5-2 hours. Color services range from 2.5 hours (Upgrade) to 6 hours (Makeover). I never rush — you get one-on-one time with me, no assistants, no distractions.
